Linking Learning to Performance

Real world project and program situations require more than just individual skills - there is no one skill or technique that can be used to deliver success. So we have designed an interactive methodology that encourages learners to explore various means to acquire skills at both the team level and the organizational level. They are trained and mentored to use their managerial instincts to decipher situations in each unique project situation.

PM Academy develops talent by linking learning to performance-on-the-job

We call this the ‘linking learning to performance’ methodology. In a nut shell, it implies that real learning only takes place when people experience the application of knowledge and start changing the habits of a lifetime when they are back on the job

The Methodology and its Benefits

Experiential classroom learning
Participants interact in a classroom environment when they attend our workshops. The experiential nature of learning makes for an ideal context for learning core PM principles.
Self-study through online learning
An online learning portal with PMBOK® Guide supported material is made available to participants so they can study at their own pace and time, wherever they are located on the map.
Performance support
Participants enjoy performance support on learning activities executed through the PM Toolkit.
Mentoring and performance feedback
Mentors offer much needed feedback on activities that learners perform with the PM Toolkit templates as well as learning material available on the online portal. By working continuously on their strengths and weaknesses, participants learn to change the habits that affect their performance on the job over time.
