We recognized the need for external stimulation in the areas of innovation, project management, and leadership. In response to this need and in concert with the company’s executive leadership, Dr. Shenhar has developed several executive training programs,.., and has delivered more than 30 seminars and workshops. His seminar is always in high demand. It influenced our thinking about innovation and helped our scientists and managers develop broader perspectives on using technology as a competitive weapon…
His second course, Project Management and Leadership, continues to grow. This course was recently endorsed by management as the preferred training for our high potential leaders, and as a way to grow the company’s leadership talent.
Most importantly, Dr. Shenhar is using his broad experience as a former executive together with his latest research findings and frameworks to influence our way of doing business. His adaptive approach to project management and his strategic project management frameworks have proved very useful and have become part of the organization’s formal procedures.

Thank you for the lessons I learned in your Strategic Project Leadership class....I wanted you to know I appreciated the toughness of your class and how it also gave me the confidence and knowledge to take on a difficult task when it would have been so much easier to do nothing. I also learned that you can move mountains...with 50 dedicated and committed people that share the same goals.
Strategic Project Leadership was like an epiphany since it made so much sense. I totally agree with you that most methodologies and processes are treated as "one size fits all" which of course makes no sense. I have ordered your book and can't wait to have it in my hands, since I am very interested to see what your answer is on how projects should be managed based on their true business values. Most project managers are strictly managing scope, without any idea what the project actually means for the organization, which is often my challenge when it comes implementing EPM solutions.
Since the project has been underway for a while, the process of restructuring the project around SPL has proven to be easier than I thought it would be … One of the key barriers to implementation is the education process. It has taken more effort to get people out of their old habits and to have team members think strategically. They have never been asked to think strategically on projects before, so getting them to adapt to that behavior is extremely challenging. Had there been a SPL plan towards the launch of the project, I would venture that we would have used most of the elements of the SPL plan. One thing that has been implemented that has already yielded results is the Project Review Board.

I wanted you to know that I found your course truly inspiring. You are a gifted teacher and I think you bring a lot to the program. I thought your presentations were sharp, witty, thought provoking and fun. What a great way to learn. I also enjoyed the way you forced everyone to think and participate. When I was a student in your class I was in an "active learning mode", rather than a "passive learning mode". I wasn't sitting back in my chair listening to a lecture for hours on end I was typically involved in, or following a very lively debate.

Outstanding presentation and very well organized. The speaker was dynamic, clearly knowledgeable in the field of PM, and really engaged the group. He was the best I have heard in a long time. I bought the book and intend to read it. He gave very relevant examples related to each question.
